Job description:

Product Design leads are a key ingredient in our Product Delivery Teams (PODS). You will actively play a critical role in all your specific POD activities, plans and roadmaps. You will work as a team and focus on delivering what is best for the user and business within your ecommerce product pod.

You will regularly attend & participate in POD meetings to consider, prioritise, and action against each new idea and backlog items that have been submitted. By working together, you will formulate a plan of action and roadmap of deliverables that meet the product vision and business objectives.

You will also be the interface for your market the broader UX organization to ensure the right persons are engaged in the active assignment.

Key Job responsibilities:

  • Represent and contribute to the UX team in the Product line structure.

  • Actively contribute to all POD meetings and their activities

  • Understand, contribute to, and deliver the Product & POD Vision / Roadmap

  • Execute upon the prioritised workload of the POD and keep store teams UpToDate on status and next steps.

  • Integrate, understand & support Store teams goals, and assist them where UX plays a key role.

  • Comprehend requests by reaching out to the owner and then writing up UX requirements and validated user stories ready for next steps.

Core Expertise

  • Understand the platform capabilities and work within the boundaries when designing the UX solution.

  • Actively promote and Integrate research, best practices, customer feedback/insights into thought process.

  • Design and deliver a complete validated UX artifact that meets requirements of the tasks and business objectives.

  • Work closely with UI design team to ensure up to date design system guidance are integrated into the final deliverables and are ready for handover.

  • Promote & Organise demos / walkthroughs of the UX solution to gain stakeholder signoff and discussion.

  • Assist development teams in smooth understanding and delivery / experimentation of UX solutions.

  • Play an active part in the QA & release sign off process.

  • Identifying and proposing journey/tasks enhancements that meet POD objectives, which are aligned with store teams.

  • Ensuring that Core web vitals are consistently improved in all steps of UX design & implementation.

Communicating & Reporting

  • Be able to any point give status updates on individual or collective requests.

  • Ensure all activity is accurately logged & documented within the systems of record which enables UX management to get a full picture of workload.

  • Able to identify roadblocks & issues and try to resolve with diligence.

  • Drive & Support UX deliverables & releases from conceptions to delivery.

Qualifications & Skills

  • More than 5 years' experience in UX & Product Design

  • Must have Solid eCommerce experience.

  • Saas & Mobile / Cell phone industry experience beneficial

  • Working at Corporate scale is highly desirable.

  • Strong understanding of modern UX technologies, theories, architecture, and development techniques

  • Worked with Design System rules.

  • Expert proficiency in necessary UX tools, Figma advantageous,

  • Data & Analytics Packages: Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics & Content Square

  • HTML, CSS, Jscript knowledge

  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and storytelling skills

  • Must have and be able to walk through portfolio to explain contribution, Methodology, and outcomes.
