Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller to join our team in Buda, Texas. In this role, you will oversee all matters related to accounting, participate in monthly project reviews, and maintain job costing processes. You will also be responsible for managing cash flow, preparing forecasts and annual budgets, and supervising accounting personnel.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee accounting matters including preparing monthly work-in-process reports and financial statements

• Manage new job and contract setup, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and payroll functions

• Participate in monthly project reviews and analyze project trends

• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies

• Maintain and improve job costing processes

• Review all journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations monthly

• Manage cash flow, including monitoring cash balances, forecasting cash needs, and optimizing liquidity

• Prepare monthly backlog forecasts, quarterly P& L forecasts, and annual budgets

• Identify and assemble KPIs into a weekly dashboard

• Build data capture and reporting systems to track and report revenue and profitability

• Monitor compliance with tax payments, including federal, state, local, sales, and property taxes

• Work directly with outside CPA in the preparation of the annual financial statement audit and tax returns

• Ensure adherence to accounting procedures, internal controls, and related processes

• Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase profitability

• Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry reporting

• Supervise and mentor accounting personnel, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to develop a high-performing team. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Controller role or similar position

• Proven expertise in Accounting Functions and Full Cycle Accounting

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise software

• Experience in Construction industry is a must

• Knowledge of Construction Accounting principles and practices

• Demonstrated ability in Budgeting and Forecasting

• Proficiency in executing Month End Close procedures

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field preferred

• Excellent communication, leadership and project management skills

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office Suite applications

• Ability to multi-task and manage time efficiently

• High ethical standards and professionalism in handling confidential information.
